Wow. That’s bad. I’d imagine this dumb a— goes bragging around and is busted. I hope they get what they deserve, that’s just awful.

That's despicable! I'd be a madddd dude. Hope they find it!

Side notez I know a guy that's house got broke into several years ago and among things taken was 4 or 5 deer mounts, including his 160 inch 8 point. Probably been 10 years now and they've never recovered any of the mounts yet.

This is not ok. Hopefully the deer is recovered and the person responsible is held accountable for their actions.

Ridiculous that someone would stoop that low. Other than bragging points what would be the point?

Wow thats horrible! I have never personally had one stolen from myself but my dad has. It seems like hunting sure brings out the worst in some people. I hope he is able to recover it. Sure was a nice buck. The story shouldn't have to end like this for your friend. Good luck

Wow, never underestimate what people will do for a set of antlers. I hope that person or group gets what they deserve.

You should post this on FB and make it sharable, words spread quickly on social media.

Man...that would really be an ironic twist if the dems were actually convicted of stealing the election. We could have another reason to call them “Lefty”.

** UPDATE **
I got the low down this am

So I guess they noticed the tire tracks and followed em Right to the next camp down the road. Called the dnr. The officer knew the people from that camp and had always been friendly with em.

He went down there and was welcomed all cheerily and at that point he ripped them a new A** and said he wasn’t there to be buddies. He wanted names and numbers to everyone that was at that camp. He stated something like the best case scenario that deer shows back up at the camp it was stolen from tonight. Then he got some phone warrants and such.

The guy who shot the deer had gone home Depressed as all H but two others remained At camp. Late at night a truck pulled in and two guys got out Quick, slid the deer onto the ground and got the heck out of there. It was a local neighbor who apparently was after that same buck all season. It was “his” deer and he was mad someone else shot it.. so when he went by to visit at the neighboring camp he noticed it hanging and planned to steal it..

The camp down the road came down and let them know this guy was no longer aloud around there place.

What a clown.

Happy ending though. Great job on the MDNR’s part on that incident.

That's amazing news. Never expected him to get the deer back. I still hope the thief(s) get syphilis.
