Old wounds and gutting your deer

Unread postby MichiganMike » Thu Nov 05, 2020 5:32 am

Just wanted to remind everyone to be careful when gutting your deer- especially if its a mature buck. A lot of times they have old wounds, pieces of arrow and broadheads lodged in them. Can make an awesome hunt turn into a trip to ER, and would hate to see anyone go through that! Been there done that. Be safe and good luck everyone!

Great reminder. I just watched the latest Tethrd video and he found a 6” section of a crossbow bolt inside the lung while gutting his buck. Be careful
