Most of the corn has been harvested around the 90 acre property i hunt.
Usually by this time I've got at least 1 if not 2 does at the butcher.
I haven't seen a deer from my stand during daylight hours. I have stayed on the fringe (as best as I can) hunting a wood box blind that I've shot probably a dozen deer from. Had to recently rebuild it after 18 years, dont buy lumber right now its crazy expensive fyi.
Seeing fresh sign is awesome, however there isn't anything close to that stand.
I am going to avoid that stand for a while, do some hang n hunts or sit in the groundblind. Are deer #'s just way down this year in Central Iowa?
What is happening?
