Wind Direction Change

Unread postby Colingraat » Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:47 pm

I went on an evening hunt tonight on an oak flat that was getting hammered by deer. The forecast showed a SW wind, and i was dropping milkweed all the way in and it was consistently SW the hole way in. Where the oak flat is inside a corner of the bush that the SW wind would hit and then it jogs in, hence I walked the field edge to and then straight in the bush to the flat. Once in the area i wanted to sit for the evening the wind was pulling the milkweed the total opposite way, instead of SW it was going NE. I am wondering if anyone has experienced something like this. It is all flat farmland. Im not sure if its just the way the wind hits the edge of the bush and curls around?
