Hunting the wind
I have a question for all of you. I can't find milkweed plants in the wild. I look and look, by the way I live in Massachusetts. What I've been doing is breaking apart cattails and using the with fluff inside. Do you think it would work as good as milkweed? Or should I just buy milkweed online?

Re: Hunting the wind
Milkweed or cottonballs is the best to use.
Ragweed works too.
Milkweed flows better with the wind however its hard to spot after it goes about 20 yards.
Cottonballs are easier to spot direction but only go about 20 yards unless theirs a strong wind.
If your in a windy area like around the great lakes cottonballs would probably be better then milkweed.
I use all 3 types.
We don't have milkweed here either but where i hunt in Kentucky it grows.
Definitely worth it to keep a bag of cottonballs in the vehicle.
