Re: Beast stick flex?
I still get some flex with buckled straps. I think I'm setting the stick correctly. Pull the bottom out and push down. It could be the tree in my back yard I test them on or it could be because my brackets don't have the tapered ends. Either way I'm not worried about it. Been using them last couple years without even noticing.

Re: Beast stick flex?
I’ve got the rope mod this year... don’t notice anything different than the stock strap. i.e. no flex.
I’ll pay closer attention to it, but I’d think I’d notice any unusual flex (as in more than my old XOPs) as I’m not real fond of heights.

Nice... I notice your strap is around the bottom of the stick, I specifically designed the antler bracket shape for the strap to go around the antler bracket during storage and transport. It will lock in better and not come loose while packing thru brush. Try that...

Does the chamfered edge perform better? Would it be worth taking a file to the original style antler brackets?

Sweet I’ll give that a go. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Beast stick flex?
I’ve got sticks from the first run and had never noticed flex until my brother watched me climb one day. I’m 160lbs and when I shift my weight from one side of the top step to the other there is definite flex between the top tree bracket and the top of the stick. Can’t feel it but if you watch someone else from the ground it’s noticeable.

Never noticed this....I'll pack mine this way from now on.

I'm also 160 lbs, and I notice it as well. I'm confident I set them correctly, and I also have the revised/new ones with the chamfered brackets... Don't seem to impact their function, but they do flex...
