What mount for selfie kill pics?
I've been of the opinion that owning such a device is probably terrible juju, but I'd like to have some better pictures.
What have you guys found to work well for taking cell phone kill pics by yourself?
I would like something small, lightweight, and something that will work no matter the terrain or ground cover. A short tripod wont work in tall grass. I'm checking out some clip on models that I could clip to a sapling or limb, but I question their durability.
If you have one that works well for you, post a link please.

I use a flexable tripod with a camera holder. Here's a few pictures I took by myself last year. It worked out really well, you can wrap them around trees or limbs or just set them on your pack.

I've just propped the phone up on a pack or stick, set timer and hustle over. Sometimes they come out great.

Same here. I use what mother nature provides instead of hauling more stuff in the woods.

Thanks for the input. I've attempted the prop it up method before - turns out I'm not great at that

If you go onto Amazon and search "small rubber phone tripod" there are a pile of choices. Pick one based off of reviews and weight and it'll be better than nothing. I also like to get good pics and need to get one of these things.

Perfect! I already wrap this around my quiver to keep from losing arrows in heavy brush, especially on the way out when going faster.

I have also been known to carry around a camera and small tripod when on special trips. I did an antelope trip without a camera and now have to go back for a proper picture with one. Sometimes, you just have to make the sacrifice for perfection.

Same here and I get some good ones. I do like the idea of an 18 inch gear tie. I will start carrying that also.
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

You’d think a man that kills at least half a dozen bucks every season would have this figured out by now. #naturalbornkillerproblems

Basically an 18 inch "bread tie" (that's a little heavier duty) that you use to tie/hold your phone to a tree. Situate it, and the deer, where you need them then hit the camera timer and bingo... a stable way to hold your phone camera for pics of dead things if you dont have someone to help you
