Who goes first?
As youth season approaches I am once again at a quandary on which of my 3 kids gets 1st crack to hunt. They're all 3 good kids and each have their quirks but this fall I really don't know who to take 1st. Kid 3 is the youngest and hasn't shot a buck yet so that's who I'm leaning towards, but Kid 1 is the easiest and most positive about everything. Kid 2 made most of the signs for my Ironman as well as a sweet homemade participation trophy for me.

Re: Who goes first?
The other two would likely understand the importance of getting that first deer - i would go with the youngest.
Then the other one, lastly the participation trophy kid - saying you are prescouting the best spots for him/her...

Oh, he's shot 2 deer already, just not a buck.
Kid 1 will probably defer so long as I take her to where the big boy lives.

Re: Who goes first?
My dad used to make us draw straws on it and that was always fair.

Maybe, but doing this 1 on 1 is much easier and brings better memories. 3 in the blind is cramped and usually brings about bickering.

Re: Who goes first?
Instead of an elf on the shelf you need a hunter hunter on the shelf that will watch them and report their behavior to you when your not around.
Might as well milk it.
Nothing more fun than taking family hunting.

Sounds like a shoot out for sure. Younger kids get a handicap....

Re: Who goes first?
I always try and find someone to take my older kid while I take the younger one. It would be a lot harder to take a third though.
