Wanted to get everyone's input. I know having water, food and security fairly close (if possible) seem to be prerequisites for holding the big boys. What happens in dry years where drainages are all dried up?
Will bucks still hang in the most secure places but travel further distances to gain access to open water sources at night? I also know that green plants provide a great source of moisture (and maybe standing corn
while it's not too dry?). How do things change as crops dry down in the fields and the rut approaches when the bucks and does are running more during daylight hours? Just trying to evaluate things in what seems to
be a pretty dry time where I hunt. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
