I'm already losing sleep and hope I can get any at all this Friday night!

I saw 3 does and passed in a basket 6 point in east ky. Kicked up im pretty sure was a bigger buck but I never got a good look at him.

Jet sled ill have to take out each night or strap it to the roof.

Whats your strategy been so far? Primarily hunting food sources (oaks, browse, etc)? Are the oaks dropping down there? They just started up here, mostly on really windy days.

Oaks are dropping but only seem to be on the very top highest elevations. During the evening thermal drop it is letting bucks smell the dropping oaks up high very easily. If I setup up their no doubt I would be busted.

I've been hunting transition edges near where they meet oaks down the hill. I had not ever scouted the areas I've been hunting so I can only guess where bedding is.

Definitely. Just finished making sure all the gear is in the totes and things are all set.

Opener tomorrow for me.

Good luck, and looking forward to learning from y'all.

Got into Kentucky last night. Checked a few parking lots and boat ramps and didn’t see anyone at the parking lots.

Went and crossed a few areas off the list this morning, one truck in the lot.

Heading back out after breakfast to scout some more.
