That's a good one. For me it is opposite. I grow my beard for my rutcation and don't kill squat. Once the beard is gone I kill within a couple days.

The beard rule is only in effect from the opener to until you get a kill. Once you've taken the edge off by getting a doe you are allowed to shave as a reward.

Knife for sure!

On the other end of the spectrum, I am well-known for A) running out of gas and B) locking my keys in the truck. If one of those 2 occurrences happens, I’m likely filling a tag. It’s the darn seat thing
How bad do you want it?

The one thing I don’t do is make any bold predictions on what I’m gonna kill this year. That’s a sure way to failure. Some call it confidence but I call it arrogance and that has a way of coming back to bite you big time.

I suppose that would be considered a jinx. Guess I’m nuts too.

Yeah I can't stand those kind of people either ,,, glad I'm not one of em :liar:  :D

I’ve never been superstitious hunting with gear or anything. There was a saying “beware of the guy that only shoots one bow“. Guys that are always changing I think could be a jinx. I heard that in the competitive side of archery from shooting events

Year/Make/Model of the truck? I used to work for a towing business, and I can get into most vehicles in under a minute. I might have some pro tips for you

2 weeks before the 2017 season I was way deep in my area doing the last chip pull to finalize where I was going to set my stand. (Snooped around the beast but wasn’t fully committed yet). On my way back up the hill with my set up I nearly stepped on a big rattle snake. My instinct was to kill it since he was literally on the same gps’ed trail that I had to use to get through and I had several trips to make yet. Instead I never even disturbed him since I was the one out of place and he was where he belonged. I figured now he owes me one. 2 weeks later 10 minutes into the bow season opener i arrowed the 5-1/2 year old that I was after. Needless to say I’ll never kill a rattle snake when I encounter one in the woods.
I did have a brand new pair of snake boots on that hunt though

Maybe some PA guys can relate to this, but carrying a pen into the woods (in pa you have to write on your tag instead of notching with a knife). Seems like everytime i shoot a buck i have to tell me dragging buddy to bring a pen with him so I can fill the tag out.

Yep. This should be a law.
