Nice bucks everyone!!! Congrats.

Busted hunt last night, scouted and area and didn't find much so pushed in further. Sure enough I cut a big fresh track on the way out but totally messed up the area. Tried to circle way around bedding to hunt the back door, was about 30-40 yards from where I wanted to be and jumped a lone fawn which I take as a good sign. Ok no big deal we can slip by ok, well I did but avoiding the fawn put me right where a big doe could bust me and she did and she did loud.

Back at it. Still have another buck tag I’m my pocket. Same general are as yesterday. Too much sign and too much activity not to give it another sit. Didn’t get anywhere near my destination yesterday so made it here this morning. Good luck everyone. Go get em!

Crazy day so far. Jumped the same buck I've been chasing for a month in the way in. Should have been here earlier. Had another shooter with a doe come in behind me. Readjusted a couple times, hoping for another opportunity. That big buck and I stared at each other in the moonlight this morning for what felt like five minutes before he busted out. Going to hunt till at least noon but I have to make it back into town in time to go vote. May try and sneak back in after. There's definitely a hot doe in here somewhere.

Advice appreciated on this: Lots of chasing, cruising, and movement early yesterday morning. Had the bruiser that made this rub come by right after sunrise. Had him broadside at 40 yards. He has no clue I was there. My arrow deflected off a branch and squared up a tree right next to him. Clean miss. He took a few bounds then slowly walked back the direction he came. Never got downwind. Within the hour another shooter buck came through a diff trail chasing does and never got close enough. Access in and out was clean. I stayed out this morning. Should I go back to a similar set tomorrow am? Or slip in afternoon? Exact same wind and hunting public land in Michigan.

Good action so far. Could have shot 3 bucks...the big one stayed out of range.

About an hour ago a spike buck chased a doe down the hill from me. Otherwise pretty calm.

Nice morning to sit. Had a little time before work to sit. Bumped some deer on the way in and ended up having a deer behind me at 5:30. Only had a short amount of time to hunt so I threw a snort wheeze out there to see if something would move. Sure enough the deer behind me got up and started to head my way but picked me off in my stand and was on my access trail. He was a nice 7 pointer.

Hunt it while it’s hot. Hunt it every opportunity you get. No harm in burning it now. This is the most reckless they will get.

Throwing a mid day sit at a map, hills to my right and big swamp river bottom to my left. Sitting a small ridge between them.

Looks like it’s just a matter of time JM! Pretty good morning I’d say!

Good luck to everyone else out there today! It’s killing me to not be able to hunt this year but stuck like glue to this thread! Go get em!

One two year old at high noon, passed him up about a mile from here a week ago. He is going to need some luck to survive rifle season this weekend.

A doe and a fork.
Got down.
Switched spots.
All set up.
Eating.
Not feeling well. Guts are rolling
