I’ll do something for the kill zone later, but I just shot my best buck ever.

WI gun/deer opener. Seen a 1.5 old buck harassing a doe and yearling this morning after sun up. Could not get a shot on any of them with the 30-06. Mom had a group of deer fly by her this morning too. One of them was limping hard on a front leg and she shot at it and missed it. I found spotty blood trail from that deer and it went dry. No other hunter came through looking for the deer. Actually heard alot of gun shots that were close by today.

Ended up seeing 12 or 15 does and 3 bucks. One half rack that would be good if he had both sides. Think.maybe a 3yr old 8 point. He bedded within 100 yards of me all day. Saw him from 930 till 330 almost constantly. 330 he walked off the property and I heard a close shot in the direction he headed about 20 minutes after he left. Oh well hopefully whoever killed it is happy. All of my deer movement was 930 to 345 lots of mid day movement but I was pretty close to bedding as well. Overall a great day in the woods with awesome weather almost too awesome but atleast it was comfortable. More shots than last year but overall I'd still say it was down from average

Man y'all put down some dandy bucks! Congrats!

14 bucks, 5 does. I was drawn back on the ground once on a buck chasing but never saw him. I felt the breeze of the doe he was chasing.

Ghost town. Got to the parking area around 12:30. Only 2 cars and the 1st one I passed had no cars. Only saw one hunter on my way back to my destination. Made an insane amount of noise for it being so calm today. Not a deer seen from 1:30 til close. Won’t be out again until Monday, will have to draft a new plan.

Congrats to all the killers!
