Congrats! That’s a stud!

Congrats killers!

3 does tonight for me.
Some cold weather would really help

Congrats to all the killers!

Headed back to South Dakota for round 2, and then off to Kansas mid week. I packed camo, but probably should have brought shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. Not ideal rut weather.

From what I see you should have plenty of cover noise for stalking this weekend :? Wind is suppose to be 25 mph here on Sunday.

Congrats to the killers!

We’re all loaded up for shotgun opener tomorrow! My two nephews have one kill (doe) between the two of them. They’re looking for anything with antlers 8-) I can’t wait. Any antlerless deer that hang around TOO long might be in trouble though :D

Haven’t been this excited for gun hunting in a LONG time. Good luck everyone!

Wife ended up getting liver, guts and an artery. Deer died on a run 200 from the shot. Blood everywhere. Really impressed with these broadheads.

Congrats to all the killers!

Just a lone doe last night for me deer wise. Had plenty of turkey and a bear that never came into range or I would have shot. Gonna sit down wind of some doe bedding this morning. It’s 33 right now but gonna be near 70 later so hoping for some movement this morning. Good luck to everyone out!

Heading back to the edge of a thicket. They were chasing yesterday morning. It’s kinda a Hail Mary but it’s my last good sit til I travel or gun season

Congrats killers!
Spent yesterday scouting. Temps were in the upper 70's. Crazy for the UP. Warmest it's been since August. Found a ton of good sign. No evidence of bow pressure in the 2 areas I scouted although I expect significant pressure during gun. Surpising I only found 1 blind and covered a half dozen miles of poplar/swamp edge. Found good rubbing, scraping and tracks in both areas. Low deer numbers so better to scout on slow movement days than to swat mosquitoes and not learn the area. I figure even if I bugger the area I'm gaining valuable knowledge of the areas.
Good luck to all out today.

All set up on a transition between a couple of ag fields. Bumped 3 deer on my way in and got between what I suspect was a buck following a doe. He grunted and looped downwind of me.

Good luck to those out there today.

Lots of bucks going down, congrats everyone!!

I'm back to chasing the buck I am now officially obsessed with. He showed up on camera yesterday (the one day I haven't been out here this week). As far as I can tell from a few recent pictures he has an extra main beam on the left side. Got in with the wind cover an hour and a half before legal light, to beat Saturday pressure in and to hopefully finally get a clean entry. Felt good anyway. Hoping the wind doesn't swirl too much. Set up off a primary scrape area about 75 yards in a spot that should allow the deer to get out of the wind. Now I just need to keep my knees from knocking if he comes by.
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Fumbled around in the dark a bit as my spare headlamp had half dead batteries. Bumped one on the way in. Here’s hoping more come through the doe bedding/thicket I’m overlooking
