Phoneskope
Anyone use a phoneskope? I have one ordered. Sick of trying to hold the phone in just the right spot on the spotting scope to get a decent pic. can't wait to try it out. Just wondering if there's any beast reviews?

Re: Phoneskope
Yea, I use mine all the time, and I love it. If you plan on sharing any videos, make sure you film you the phone sideways (long axis of phone parallel to the ground) vs vertical orientation. Also, if you're using a spotter, make sure the the eye cup is screwed all the way down or when you mount the phone scope on the eyepiece it will move/sag as the eye cup tightens.
Also, I highly recommend getting a bluetooth shutter button so you don't have to touch the phone, which can make the pictures blurry from introducing small movement into the scope and phone. Or, depending on your phone, there should be an option in the settings to have the camera take a picture with a voice command like "capture", "smile", or "cheese", and you can avoid getting a bluetooth button that way. Other than that, they are pretty straight forward.

Re: Phoneskope
Well it came today. All I can say is awesome. I got the large universal to use on my spotting scope or binocs. Played with it on the back deck for a while and it sure helps with the focus vs holding the phone shaking away. Took it out scouting tonight from the truck and wouldn't ya know no good bucks to test it out. Can't wait to take it out west to the mountains on vacation next month!

Couple other tips that weren't mentioned. If glassing from the truck, shut it off when your videoing or taking pics. One other tip, iv been using the video function on my phone mostly, then take screen shots off the video later.
