One of the best things I did was to put a AMP bumper step on my truck. They are spendy but are terrific if you are in and out of the bed often.

Oh man. Stuff like that hurts more than it used to, too. Once you hit mid 30’s resilience goes down a notch  glad you’re somewhat ok!

A couple weeks ago I was carrying my 3 year old down the stairs. I had her sideways in my arms messing around with her, so I was basically walking blind down the stairs. Unfortunately I didn’t realize my lunch box was on the 3rd step.

I stepped on it and fell EXTREMELY awkward, of course holding my kid up to try and not fall on her. My left rib cage took all of my weight (and hers) on the bannister end post.

My wife heard the crash from the bathroom and freaked out asking what happened and I couldn’t even answer for 10-15 seconds   Must have only bruised my ribs but I thought I broke them for sure. Today is the first day they’ve felt normal.

When someone stops to ask what you’re doing when glassing a big buck just hold up a bottle of lotion and some Kleenex’s...they won’t ask any more questions. They just seem to drive off

Glad your ok. They hurt more than they use too.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

It’s just like the song says, “if you’re gonna be dumb you gotta be tough”.

Just kidding man, that’s rough. Don’t let that stop you from pretending not to glass deer in the future though! ;)

Sounds just like something I would do.

I have been real accident prone lately. Thinking I better stay off bikes and avoid trees. Both injured me pretty bad this past year. I’m lucky to still be walking around. They’re gonna do me in some day.

You’re not kidding.
Stepped of the boat (while on the trailer) the other day. Straight to the ground I went
Missed the bunk I step on.
