A area I hunt.

I know I'm kinda taking a risk by having a map but that's ok.

The clearcuts are 2 years old.
I hunted this before the cuts existed but the movement has changed alot. The entire property seemed to change after the cuts.

I know that the Blue dot is a large doe group bedding and the red dots are for sure known buck bedding.

Are their any areas on this that stand out to you guys that I may be overlooking? I walked most of this property last year but I've had a hard time getting onto bucks in it.

I just can't seem to figure it out.
I'm just wondering if I'm reading this piece correctly.

It's probably a 600 acre piece pretty large. What's shown on this map is about 400 acres of it or so.
The northern road isn't a road just a ATV trail.

Their is a road they used for logging from one cut to the other up that ridge east of the cuts.

Those bucks bed on that point alot during cold fronts and walk into the wind across the ATV trail not sure why but they do.not much over their just pine trees.

I passed on a 2 year old buck a few years back just southeast of that blue circle. Before the cuts.

Spot 1 | Thermal hub potentially where deer could cruise during rut, tougher spot to hunt w/o wind swirling or deer seeing you potentially in this situation.

Spot 2 | Nice point for North winds, plus there a nice edge/transitions there. Would be surprised if you found bedding there.

Spot 3 | Another thermal hub, this one looks more huntable. Wider, which helps with swirling winds, still have to hunt it on a calm day. Looks as if there’s 3 habitat edges/transitions that come together there. Overlooked pinch point/funnel too.

Spot 4 | Spur ridge down wind of doe bedding on a N would be intriguing.

Your number 2 is on the road.

Number 3 that area is super thick pines downed trees and a very deep creek.

1 I'll be honest I've never sat over their it's all hardwood timber.

4 I've found sign many times in that area over the years never sat their. I always assumed it was too far from bedding. Though it might be a good rut cruising spot.

I sat the 2 eastern spots before the cuts.
I've sat the west pink spot several times and passed a 2 year old buck in.
