Was out looking for turkey and decided
To cut the corner in case the birds were in the field and came across this reverse peninsula into a crop field. Swamp further out with small poplars where I found a ton of rubs and beds and at field edge is very thick briars. In fact I stumbled across a nice shed in this area. Dirt track is 200 yards to the north with parking to the NW. Just wondering on what wind they would be bedding here? (Blue circle) would they be here during the day or is it a night spot with the actual swamp being the day bedding?
How and when would they use this..?

If he's bedding right on that edge you marked he's probably bedding there with a southerly wind...but other winds might work too if there is enough cover for him to shift side to side.

During summer time late evening an at night. Also during rut until they are pushed out of there. I would look for more concealed areas close by with added security getting to that area.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Agree with posts above and could be day bedding early season and/or standing corn.
