Pretty good afternoon scouting public land. Jumped a few deer, found a couple beds, some decent tracks, and some wedgies. Found a place to put a cam where some major trails intersect.

Gotta love cell cams! Got another good buck in that area I posted earlier.

Also I helped a buddy aerial scout a piece of public by his house, narrowed down a few spots based off trails could see and he went in and checked it out today. Shortly afterwards he sent me this

I went put for a few hours the heat is rough. I scouted about 40 acres of a 70 acre piece of wma surrounded by private.

Did find a few scrapes and buck bedding area downwind of the parking lot. Planning to get some cams out soon.

Found remnants of a balloon in a bottom while scouting yesterday. Wouldn't have thought nothing of it if I hadn't seen it mentioned on here before  I did see a big buck get up from it's bed from the stand one year near this spot.

First glassing trip of the season. Private land buck, but still good to get out and check on the growth. Time to start looking for some standouts.

Cell cam is still producing good! Going to try and hang some more on public in the coming weeks.

Scouted some public found some beds overlooking opposite ridge. Disappointed woods weren’t too thick

Nah they stay away from the actual edge. They love walking by the berms for some reason. Always see tons of tracks along my mud pond berms

I was thinking of the berm as a terrain edge, a distinct break.

Either way, was the track big? If so, you need the pile-of-dirt ghille.
