I should skip work and hunt tomorrow.
I bet the deer are really going to be moving ahead of the storm.

I'll be grinding until the bitter end as usual! I'm definitely heading out Friday evening. Conditions are perfect. And pre-front timing on top of it!

They should all be up on their feet and feeding 8-)

Yeah I would love to get out tomorrow but can’t.

My game plan is to get in early Saturday to catch them coming back. Hopefully.....

So this will leave almost 3 weeks of tracking snow till official extended season ends. Lets hope it doesn't melt.... But then again, its Wisconsin....

...and I'd be okay with that.
For some strange reason heavy snowstorms no longer hold the same magic for me that that they did when I was six or seven years old.
I think that was about the time I was first introduced to Mr. Snow Shovel.

You guys got many racked bucks left? Here in the yoop I’ve got a cam on a hay bale and a lot of skin and bone bucks hitting it. No antlers. I know lots of bucks hold em way late elsewhere.. but around here I’m afraid to shoot a doe after dec cus a lot already drop in the first few weeks. I’m wondering if my target buck even had a rack anymore those last few times I froze trying to get him

I'm still seeing a few full racks and an occasional half-rack when I see them in the fields feeding, and I'm sure that some of the "does" I see are in fact shed bucks.
Clock's ticking though.
I wouldn't bet much money on the "life expectancy" of any antler on a buck's head this time of year in this part of the State.

Last week Tuesday. I had a group of deer come through my back yard. 2 big bucks with antlers still. This is SE Wisconsin.

I also hunt the UP and we run cams. Had 2 nice 8 pointers on cam 2 weeks ago. Wonder where they were all year but happy they made it.
