I hope he made it I never heard of anyone getting something big out of this wma. I've chased him for two years and never had a shot I do know his bedding well. He just never seems to leave it in daylight.

Then go still hunt him from the ground and shoot him in his bed.

Hill country thermals make it really tough I've snuck within 80 yards once and busted bucks.

Kinda like how the buck I shot this year was he was bedding in a ravine and there was no way to get at him trued hard but he always bested me. I waited till till the rut and moved only about 200 yards from his bedding to where the first doe group was. I just managed to shot him on the ground. The old does got the best of him.

Another nice one with split brows, should be 4.5 and a solid 10pt next year.

Up in northern Wisconsin a buck like that would be around 5.5 plus. Nice buck be neat to see what he looks like next year.

Here’s some survivors. Had a close encounter with this guy. . . 2nd year in a row that he has been within 20 yards of me and I couldn’t get off a shot. Actually happened twice last year.

Heres 2 that made It I'm hoping to catch up with next fall. I had 3 shooters found last summer, killed one and other 2 haven't been seen since Halloween. Idk if they got killed somewhere or just ain't come home yet... I'm looking forward to these 2, pretty sure they're both 3.5

I decided this season to run a couple cameras on a public property that I hadn't hunted in a few years. When I checked cards this winter I was happily surprised to see this old 7 pointer that I instantly recognized. I first saw him back in 2013 and passed him as a youngster a couple times. He is still a 7 pointer, only massive now with some sticker points off his tines. But the overall constitution of his rack hasn't changed much. I guessed him to be a 2yr old back in 2013. That would make him 8yrs old now- living his whole life on highly pressured land. I continue to be in awe of these smart old whitetails. I wish I had gotten on him earlier in the year.
