The one year deer

Unread postby iowa whitetail » Mon Dec 16, 2019 9:10 pm

I pulled my cards last year at the end of all the seasons and had this guy on my cam. One pic during our gun season. Thought about this deer for a whole year not that he was giant but he was on my farm looked mature so I set out for him. Came out 250 yards during the same gun season!!

Again congrats on a great buck and this is why attention to details matter. Deer are creatures of habit from year to year. From where they live in summer to winter to where and when they drops sheds .

yup I've used a muzzloader since 04. Not as fun as bow but I still enjoy muzzloader hunting.

Probably done for the year. My son has a muzzloader tag so I'll be trying to get an 8 year old a buck. I have a good ten found but an old buck plus an eight year old is a challenging task lol.

Good luck to your son! They tend to be a little squirrely at that age
