Most days without seeing a mature buck?

Just curious, what's the most sits you have gone without seeing a mature buck?

2 weeks. Back during the 2008 rut I went 2 weeks, hunting multiple stands on 3 different properties and only seen 1 fawn in that 2 week period. The last mature buck I seen was a solid 135-140” 9 point on the morning of November 8th and the morning of the 22nd I finally seen another mature buck again.

To say the 2008 rut was one I’ll never forget would be an understatement. Never experienced a rut like that before then and never after, yet. I actually wondered if I was in some hunting nightmare or something.

Back in 80s on TX public I went entire seasons w/o seeing a mature buck. Recent antler restrictions have helped but a 2 month gun season does not.

I probably get about 3 mature buck sightings per year on the public land I hunt. I get an occasional chance to bag one. I hunt between 15 and 17 sits per year, some of which are on the same day. I'm more of a grocery hunter than a big buck hunter, but working on it. One day!
On my deathbed, I will receive total consciousness. So I have that going for me, which is nice!

I have had years where I was seeing a mature buck every 8-10 sits with some days seeing multiple mature bucks. My best days had 5-6 sightings during peak rut of course. Those days are LONG gone. I would say on average I see 2-3 with 50+ hunts per season. This year I have had only one true mature buck sighting in 35 hunts. Been a tough year. Seen some bucks but only one big enough to get me excited. Figure I have at least 15 hunts left this season to turn it around.

Woo wee! When I first started bow hunting I hunted at least a few hours every day of the season. Believe it was year 4 before I saw my first one. Would say now I see 1 every 6 or 7 hunts during the rut on avg. That doesn’t mean there in my range limit but inside of 75 yards. Usually I have 2 or 3 legit chances at a good one inside of 20 yards per season if I get after it.

What’s a mature buck? 4.5+? Im usually see a few per year and have a good chance at one hunting October-January.
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

This year, on mature bucks, I had 5 encounters within 30 yards, two are dead. I typically have 2 -5 opportunities within 30 yards most years. I consider 4 y/o and over a mature buck.

Once per year on private, some years as many as 3. Still waiting to see a shooter (4 points to a side where I hunt) on public.

I gotta hand it to ya! Most folks limit themselves to the legal season. But you sir are an overachiever powering through a 365 day hunting season . Yall Missouri boys understand the best time to kill a mature buck is b4 or after the season  Just kidding of course
