New favorite milkweed container

Unread postby Wlog » Sun Dec 08, 2019 12:23 am

I was getting tired of crushing milkweed in my pocket and losing it all the time. I started putting it in the little bottle that holds those airborne immune booster tablets. Works like a charm!

It looks like this

I’ve been using the coin purse too. It even keeps the weed pretty dry after you’ve taken a dunking.

Not that I would know anything about that! :D

Been using this all season. Pill bottle with a hole drilled in the lid. A little gorilla tape and some para cord so it's hands free hanging ready to go. Pulls out like Kleenex box. Works great!!

X2 on the prescription pill bottle with 1/4” hole drilled in the top. Works great. I keep it in the pouch on the side of my bino harness.

Definitely using this. You ever have a problem with it not being able to be pulled out?

Yes, a few times it got clogged up by some of that hard membrane in the middle of the pod. I learned that I need to just clean the fibers out pretty good before loading them into it. Not a big deal when it happens, just pop the cap and clear the jam.

Great ideas!

I've been using one of these little rubber coin purses:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Oval-Rubber- ... /399759489

I have one taped to the riser of my bow so it's always with me and within easy reach.
I used to use a pill bottle but it took up a little more room and made noise if I bumped it against anything.
The coin purse is silent.
