Circulated Pictures

Unread postby backstraps » Thu Nov 28, 2019 9:10 am

Have you ever had one of your deer pictures (without you in the pic) circulate back to you?

Example: Customer: hey Tony, you deer hunt rite?

Me: Yeah I like to when I get a chance

Customer: let me show you one killed the other day

Me: dang that’s pretty cool!!! Know the story behind it

Customer: nah just that it took the guy forever to kill it and he finally got lucky

Me: HAHAHAHAHAHA. Well im sure whoever the hunter was, was happy as he could be to finally get him

It’s not wrong to word it the way you did. If you hunt constantly it just means you get lots of chances.

Years ago I took a pic of a monster on the shoulder of the road that got hit by a vehicle right in front of a deer farm. Sent it to a few people. In the next few weeks I got the pic I took! Sent back to me with the location changed and they found and took pic. Apparently this ghost buck was a traveler cause his body was said to have been taken in 4 counties and 2 diff states. Takes all kinds of nuts to make a nut salad

I had an.... "acquaintance" do something similar. Hes my best friends cousin. He wanted some help learning to trap so I showed him what I could and got him heading in the right direction.

A year or 2 goes by and he sends me a picture of a coyote caught in a foothold trap. Said something like "that's how it's done!".

I replied...."ya I know that's how it's done....because I did that! That's my picture xxxxx!" (I called him something not too friendly lol.

I don't think I sent him the original picture. May have sent it to my friend who sent it to him or whatever.

So.....worse than actual being shown/sent my picture....he implied it was HIS catch and picture.

Their is cougers east of the Mississippi.
Dunno about every county or state but they are around.

I certainly wouldn't doubt that they have crossed many counties traveling. Their home ranges are enormous.

Here in west Tennessee we definitely have Cougers, Panthers and Alligators.

That was my first thought. That mountain lion walking by a feeder with a huge buck in its mouth. Two different people texted saying they knew someone who go it on a trail cam. Looks like Texas to me. I’m in Minnesota. This photo
