Re: 28* Temp drop
I’ll be in a fence line over looking a corn field tomorrow night, exposed to it all. But the deer will be bedding in a drainage/hillside that will have them protected from the north winds. I just have to wait them out....hopefully.

I'd expect them to hunker down with the temp drop & blowing snow. Once the wind dies down I'd want to be in a tree near a food source.

My plan is to try this piece of public I've never been on and try my luck going in blind. From some of the aerials I've seen there has been historically some agricultural fields next to it. I've never hunted next to a large river but I'll see how it goes.

Downwind edge of standing corn in heavy winds has always put deer in front of me. Never been able to capitalize on it but IMHO that’s the place to be. Especially if the field on the other end is bean, cut corn or open field of some sort.

Storm came in yesterday afternoon/evening into the overnight hours. Doe's were strapping on the feed sack this morning on my drive in to work.
