The allure of scrapes
Real scrapes, mock scrapes.. other than inventory purposes or hunting near scrapes close to bedding, are scrapes just a neat part of the whitetail but nothing really to bother with?

IMO scrapes are important for deer communication. If you’re going to hunt them effectively you have narrow them down to which ones are used in daylight and when to hunt them.
Otherwise put a camera on them and get nighttime inventory.

Ive spent hours over scrapes. And rubs but the buggest thing ive learned is to step back and look at them as travel markers.
