New to Marsh bedding areas

Unread postby t_kasprzak » Sat Oct 12, 2019 1:37 pm

Hi All -

New to the Beast style hunting tactics. Based on the videos and forum, I am pretty confident there has to be a big buck bed somewhere by the waypoint. Looking for scouting tips and hunting tactics. North is up in the picture. There farm fields with alfalfa to the north, south, and east of marsh area. Heavy trails marked in blue. Property is a moderate to heavily pressured piece of private that I have access to.

Any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone and good luck this year!

I’ve found buck beds on the edges of ponds quite a bit. In my experience they use the pond as a buffer from human access and using the sight advantage, looking across the pond at the human access- if that makes sense. I could see a buck wanting to watch deer trails, especially in the rut. If it’s heavy pressure hunting, I’d bet that guys walk those trials too.
