Flooded Marsh

I have a question, I found a nice marsh with islands in it, and the flood from the spring covered the islands with a couple feet of water. Finally in late August the water receded, will the bucks return to the area on their own or will it take some pressure to get them back in there? This is public hunting in Oklahoma.

The only reasons I can think they would not come right back is if the flooding removed their cover or browse.
The understory growing back should eventually improve the browse in the area.
A hunt or scout in the area will let you know for sure.
