Hunt another state, take a kid hunting or dial in future bedding sight and funnels then sit with video camera in hand. Also be a good time to monitor parking lots and find place with the least amount of pressure/traffic.

What helps to get the itch to be in a treestand to go away ? Small game hunting maybe? Or just scouting ? Or stop watching hunting videos that dan posts?
You savor these. They dont happen every year.
Then you find new places, help others with their success, get on drag detail, and down here in NC you get to fish.
I havent read the whole thread but if you pulled this off early in your career, you really should give THANKs to your deity of choice. You have been blessed. Congratulations!

I know it doesn't happen every year but I put in the time to learn how to hunt for mature bucks honestly every day since the last season I would watch videos and read stuff and I put it to use on the field and I spotted that buck on a camera and put time to pin him down, at this point I think I'm going to setup more cameras to spot other mature bucks and pin them down also and hope they survive through the season and or let a buddy or 2 get thier shot at it

I'd hunt another state for a week or so, maybe even just for a long weekend. New territory is always a lot of fun. Scouting and running more cameras in potential stand site areas could be very useful for the future.

Muskie fishing is, in my opinion, a lot closer to deer hunting than to fishing for other species. The shot of adrenaline you get when you see a 20+ lb musky tailing your lure toward the boat is not quite as good as seeing a big buck walking up, but it's really close.
I agree. Didn’t think there were many musky hunters here so I didn’t mention it. I love chasing them in fall but being in a tree wins out most times. If I filled my buck tag early no doubt I would be on the water much more.
If you really want to get up close and personal with a muskie try it from a kayak sometime. No other fresh water fishing even comes close for excitement in my mind.
