Unfortunately there are more people out there that can't afford it than those that can. Hunting public land is a fad that I don't see going away especially with the quality mobile hunting set ups coming out making it easier to mobile hunt and the rise of social media pics of big bucks getting killed on public. Get ready for steady influx of pressure for years to come. We need to embrace it, we are all public land owners. Enjoy the challenge, let it drive you to be a better hunter!
Yes and no. A lot of guys will embrace it and will hunt public for years to come. On the flip side, a lot of guys will get discouraged and in a few years will be selling their mobile setups and heading back to a lease. We live in a time of instant gratification, which public hunting generally doesn't offer. You gotta love the process and be willing to put in the work.
