Scouting Local Marsh/Swamp

Unread postby Mnbowhunter12 » Sat Sep 07, 2019 4:06 pm

I have been out putting boots on the ground, and been coming across things that I noticed in years past and was hoping to get some insight. When I look at aerial maps I have been looking for the trails, and in my scouting I'm finding a lot of beaver sign in these areas along with some deer tracks in the muddy areas. What is the best way to decipher which ones are strictly beaver or combo trails? Thanks

Beaver trails are smooth and lead to the water. Deer trails go around the water.
