19 hrs and 1200 miles from my house and that is just to the southern state line. Plus I'd drive right through Kentucky and Indiana to get to there!

People keep saying Wisconsin is easy and the best but they end up spending more money some place else

quick calculator work says between $200 and $225 each way if I didn't bring the trailer and went skinny in just my truck.

People keep saying Wisconsin is the best and easiest yet they spend more money to AVOID Wisconsin, in order to hunt some other state farther away

If I lived somewhere else I would still come to WI. It’s a bargain to hunt here as a non-resident compared to other states.

I'm actually not avoiding it, but I have a lot of access and familiarity with GA and KY so I hunt those. I'm hunting CO this year for the first time. I actually wouldn't be opposed to hunting Wisconsin one year. And as my Uncles get older it looks more and more like we will lose the family farms in KY and only have access to what we can get permission on or the public lands I've hunted there. My KY OOS trip is a mix of me exploring public and hunting the farms once the rest of my family shows up. I think when we finally lose the farm we are talking about actually trying a bunch of different states that have low entry level requirements and just having all kinds of adventures.
