Whitetail in ND in velvet opening week then followed but a mule deer and an elk.
Realistically... learn as much as possible about the new critters I get to chase and the way whitetails work these river bottoms with no cover.

Re: 2019 goals?
I didn’t attempt any early season freezer meat doe hunts last season like I’ve traditionally done. If I didn’t have a good friend hammer one for me in late season I would be in a pinch here soon. Goal is to drop a couple big does in the opening week that I’m off. After that, I’m just going to be as efficient as possible. Won’t have a lot of time this next season as my wife is slated to have our first child the third week of November. No holding back when I do get to hunt. Find the fresh sign and get aggressive.
Teaching is only demonstrating that it is possible.... Learning is making it possible for yourself.
