Yeah, I'd have taken a hacksaw to the left side to try and even it up a little.

Not to be that guy but I’m sure the hunt checks clear too? No planted farm deer right?

A game warden checked it out shortly after the kill and everything was legit.

Sweet. I hate when people make claims then find some massaging of the truth. Nicely done.

How the heck do you ever go hunting again after killing something like that? What a freak buck. Where do you go from there?

It would be awesome if it was killed Beast Style using milkweed and wearing dirty clothes with a few months of stank in them. Send the entire industry into a tailspin.

I saw a pic of that buck a couple months ago. It was just the antlers and skull cap. When I first glanced at it I thought he was holding two bucks side to side. Incredible deer! Illinois holds both bow and arrow records now

He does seem like a down to earth guy. I hope he doesnt sell out to some company like black rack or someone else trying to use his success and great fortune to their benefit. Crazy looking buck, the woods would definately seem lonely knowing he was gone. Would be tough to shoot another buck after you shot that guy!

I commented on a different forum that I would eat crow if this buck was truly a free ranging deer. It appears I indeed get to eat some. Crazy deer.

My neighbor brought that issue of North American Whitetail over yesterday. Pretty cool buck.
