Unread postby dan » Tue Feb 26, 2019 5:19 am

I will be at the Stealth outdoors booth on Saturday. Going to hop around a little, want to stop at the WKP booth and give my condolences, and meet with Andrae, so if Im not at the booth when you come by, check back or ask Lou when I will be back... Hope to see you there.

Nice. Speaking of the Classic, I've never attended it before. Recommended? What are the things to seek out? I didn't think I would be able to make it, but my schedule has freed up.

It's a lot like other shows, except the sheer number of GIANT deer is astounding. Saturday will have the most big deer there. The Wall of Fame has all the top 10s from years and years past. The shed contest is Saturday, fun to walk thru and check out.

$9 beers are amazing, I'm carrying my own in my backpack.

The Edgewood Locker will be there, they make thr best deer sticks I've ever tasted.

Snow predicted Friday, but may change. I prefer the smaller crowd friday night but may slide to Saturday due to weather. It will also be busy because of some high school state tournaments going on.

so sad to hear about Todd,,,, man that young guy was great, loved all his videos, that I bought last year at Deer Fest. Play them at my cabin all the time,,,, the guy was a hard charger, loved it......I will write his name on an arrow, and this spring, launch it from my long bow, into a great area in the UP,,,, it will have a note with it,,,, to who ever finds this, this arrow was launched for a true brother of the bow, may he rest in peace,,,,,,

LOL on the beer.

It does look pretty similar to the one at the end of March in Madison, WI, which is about 4.5 hours closer to me. :D I'll probably hold off for that one. I didn’t realize it was coming up until Tundra mentioned it.

I see him in the whitetail adrenaline booth (I think that's the group), haven't seen him do a turkey feather painting booth yet.

That much is true, always going 9 different directions at once! Always a good chat with him every year though.

Good to hear Iowa is still going strong. I went to the Illinois Classic 3 out of the past 4 years before it ended and you could tell is was staring to go downhill.

It's not deer hunting but the Pheasant Fest was in Illinois last weekend. That was a lot of fun, really wanted to make me head out another time this year to chase birds.
