I bumped a deer scouting a leeward ridge today. Didn't see it just heard it running away

We've all heard Dan talk about them moving around and making a circle of beds bc of changing wind but this was a really cool and eye-opening find. It was perfectly placed on a spur off of a leeward ridge with a view below and the rocks provided some cover. I didn't take pics of it but there was some rubbing on the tree next to the bed
I had an encouter with a nice buck in this area this season - maybe one of his beds. I am going to keep an eye on it

Cool find... In a lot of these cases it takes actually finding beds like this to turn the light bulb on... Its always best to see it/discover it, in person.
