As I’m going to be hunting tons of hill country this year, I’ve been studying up on the movement of wind and thermals, especially how they move through the hills. I found this video and thought it was helpful enough to share.

I found the 0:50-0:60 mark quite fascinating. I thought the wind would just move around obstacles, not tumble. Also, the 3:00 mark is interesting. Definitely has me thinking more visually.
Any thoughts? Agree? Disagree?

Re: Wind and Thermals [video]
I’m a mechanical engineering student currently. I have had a pretty darn good understanding of air currents and thermals for a few years now, but I took a fluid mechanics class about a year ago and I learned the science behind it. It helped me understand what I already knew, and helped me figure out new things that I’m sure will help down the road in hunting. Guess college does come in handy
