Re: Bucks on the buzzer
That's crazy cold. Our archery season ended on 1/1, the high was like 15 degrees and I sat for the last 5 hours. I was frozen by the end. A high of 4 doesnt seem far off, but that's so much colder, and to sit after a long hike is just ice on the cake. I hope Joe can still have children.

Re: Bucks on the buzzer
Were the mature bucks bedding in the cattails on the ice or were they bedding on the dry spots?
Good luck hope to see another video with a kill.

Re: Bucks on the buzzer
I'm pretty jacked.. I have the next three days vacation to kill one and if work is closed tomorrow then I technically get 4 days. I think I misread what the deer were doing the other day a little bit but should be ready and fine-tuned for tomorrow. I'm feeling very confident. This huge storm that's coming in is going to have be pretty nasty to have to stop my hour and a half drive. Hopefully it's not a major issue.

They were bedding all over in the dogwood that was around islands and in the middle of cattails.

Curious as to what you all are wearing in those temps.

Merino wool base layer top and bottom, then jogger pants with with carhart pants over them and then sitkagear fanatic bibs and then a tee shirt and two sweatshirts and then the Sitka fanatic Jacket. Haha lots of stuff. There was hardly wind though. I think I'll bring the heaterbody suit tommorow because of 30 mile per hour winds. Too much crap to carrying but chasing a potential Boone makes it worth it!

Try the stick on body warmers put one on chest and one on each kidney. They help a lot you might get away with wearing less too.
