It’s not often that a track gets my blood pumping.
Big rubs. Sometimes.
Scrapes. Sometimes.
But, tracks usually don’t capture my imagination.
On January 2-6 on each day I hunted a particular piece of private that I’ve got access to a set of tracks kept showing up. I was reluctant to post about it or post pics cause in my opinion it’s just wishful thinking as to actually seeing let alone killing the buck that made these tracks.
But when you find them going in and out of the same swamp heading to food/doe bedding that many days in a row it starts to get your attention.
Everyday I found them going in and out, I’m assuming in darkness. I’ve didn’t follow them cause I was nervous about bumping him. Anyways, here’s the pic I decided to post. I’ve got several. For reference the binos are vortex 8 * 42.

I’m going to put some cams back to see what’s driving me insane.

Re: New Hope
Time will tell if I get a crack at this deer. For all I know this track could be from a world record spike buck. If I had to put money on it I’m guessing it’s a buck I call “Moose”.
Huge bodied 8 ptr. Probably weighs 250-300 lbs.
I’ll have to stay on top of my scouting to see who these huge tracks really belong to.

Re: New Hope
Nice track! Sounds like it's time to dive in and push the limits a little more. Especially if your season is winding down. Best of luck and keep us posted!

Something is goofy with the formatting. I’ll fix it below.

For me the season is over. It’s time to focus on scouting and prepping for the coming season
