How do you interpret this? I read it as the counties NOT in the holiday hunt close Jan. 1.
I read this as the state wide season is open through Jan. 6th if not in a metro zone.
Wisconsin archery season.

It’s Jan 6th and some counties are extended to Jan 31st... https://dnr.wi.gov/files/PDF/pubs/wm/WM0431.pdf

The WI DNR must be using the same author (lawyer) to write up regulations that the MDC uses in Missouri.

They wrote this section so people not in the Holiday Hunt zones knew they could still hunt bucks during that period.
The Hunt Wild app was poorly written. I noticed that a few months ago but forgot to mention it. It confused me as well but the regulation book is much clearer.

Re: Wisconsin archery season.
When I originally read my regs, I interpreted it, that I could hunt until Jan 6th. Seeing I wasn't included in the holiday hunt.
And that is my plan!
And that is my plan!

Re: Wisconsin archery season.
The holiday hunt closes Jan 1 from my understanding. Regular archery season closes Jan. 6, and some counties are open thru Jan 31.

Yes, wi is poorly run.

That makes sense, but I still found it confusing. Plan to get out a few times after the 1st. Temps are supposed to drop, maybe I'll get lucky.
