Deer pick off hunters more in a saddle or treestands?
Just curious which one people feel they get busted in the most for those of you that use both. Also if you have used both, why did you ultimately decide to use the one you use (treestand or saddle)?

Only been using saddles for a couple of years now but got picked off more in tree stands.

I hunted from tree stands for close to 15 years then switched to a saddle. The amount of times I get busted went way WAY down after switching to a saddle and figuring out how to set up better. My shot distance has also been cut down roughly 10 yards on average as well.

I voted the same.
At first thought I thought the saddle wins hands down. But in reality the tree being in front of you can force you to make a move at a critical time. Also moving you are more likely to make noise on the tree especially if it has noisy bark.
But overall concealment, you can really hide in a saddle.
I have used both and highly prefer a hang on in most situations. The saddle just feels a bit awkward. I am certain with more seat time I could grow to like a bit more. I still don’t think I would ever prefer to bowhunt out of it in lieu of a hang on...

You can get picked off in either. The saddle gives you the benefit of having the tree between you and the deer however. I always set up with the tree between myself and where I think the deer will travel with an opportunity for a strong side shot.
