I have access a 30 acre parcel. I get a lot of pictures of great bucks in the preseason, but as soon as October 1st rolls around, they disappear. I've read some stuff elsewhere on the web about how bucks will summer in one place and then move out to other completely different areas for the pre-rut/rut. But more recently, I've also read a lot of talk from guys that have great pictures of their buck from all year round that they've hunted for years.
I know a lot of this depends on the property and it can vary greatly, but I just wondered what you guys think about this idea.
Thanks!

Re: Preseason Bucks VS Hunting Season Bucks
I’ve seen both, usually 50:50. A lot of variables play into it. Secure/unpressured bedding, pressure in general, seasonal food, does. I’ve got a couple spots where they leave for the majority of rut, then come back late season. I tend to hunt those spots once in early season then let them sit for late season.
