Mapping Strategies
Wondering what y’alls strategies are when mapping an area with a pen or marker (or online paint app). Obviously, boots on the ground are the tell-all, but what have you found to work best when all you have is a map and a pen?

Re: Mapping Strategies
I like the add path feature in Google Earth
when scouting swamps/marshes I like to trace the deer trails out and see where they all spider to
then put boots on the ground to confirm the deer movements along with my cheap etrex gps together they tell a story
this year we had early snow so following the deer trails and transferring the gps data into Google Earth is starting to reveal the movements

Re: Mapping Strategies
What do you mean exactly? Mapping an area out pre scout or mapping while scouting?
