Horizontal Rub

Unread postby Paca » Thu Nov 01, 2018 3:44 am

Anyone try these? I put 3 of them up on my land. As of last week 2 weren’t touched. The 2 are on active scrapes, frequently visited by bucks of 2 years up. I’m using balsam and scotch pine limbs.
I know I’m not in Iowa where that miller guys is but I thought I’d get some use.

Played with it a bit last year but I didn't put cams on em. Believe I did 5 and 2 got shredded. Put em all in similar type spots (funnel with present real scrapes) just my guess but I used a variety of diff trees for the horizontal rubs. The 2 that were murdered where both soft woods with high fragrance. One Christmas tree and the other was cedar. Maybe just a fluke but if I did it again I would go with a soft wood.

I’ve got 2 going. They’re getting hit. Going to hunt over one in the morning
