Lone Wolf Cams

Unread postby druski » Fri Oct 26, 2018 11:55 am

I have had two models of these climbers, currently an older model sit and climb that works pretty well for me until it gets in the low 30's.
That seems to be the threshold for the cams that lock down the adjustable straps that secure to the tree to become very tight and difficult to open and close. Certainly still works, but curious if anyone has a suggestion or fix for a similar experience.
Any fixes I considered would make my stand smell like a workshop.

right on bow string wax has endless uses. i put it on all my bows screws so nothing seizes steel and aluminum risers dont mix well with water. between pivots on stands its uses are endless it also works great for taking the shine off gear like fancy anodized bow cams that glow in the sun or on you trad bows glass limbs.

Also tie some 550 cord through the hole in the lever in a loop so you can grab easily

Another example of simple being effective.
Dan THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video and THANK YOU for the quick constructive responses.
I would end up year after year with freezing fingers before getting settled in because of this apparent common issue with these cams.
Thanks agains.
