If you dont mind.

How far was your more permanent stand from the one you killed out of? Was it higher or lower on the mtn?

Maybe you said that already and I didnt catch it.

The permanent stand I used to hunt was about 150-200 yds from where I killed. It was up high and I would hunt it in the mornings dropping in from the top but I always hunted it with a south wind. So the wind was always in my face. Basically I was hunting this ridge with the wind in my favor and not the deers.

I was hunting lower than where the permanent stand was. I pulled the permanent stand down in 2015 and didn’t hunt in the area again until last year which was only one time and then of course once this year.
