Bicycle tubing to silence lone wolf and scent???
I'm sure some of you have used bicycle tubing to silence your Lone Wolf buckles. I'm trying to make this improvement, but I don't want that terrible rubber odor. How did you get it out of your tubing?

Deer aren’t afraid of rubber smell......it’s the human scent that is on it that freaks them out. If they are downwind and smell the rubber your ground scent likely already reached their nose.

The bike tubes work great for silencing stick buckles. Just drop your sticks in the swamp muck a few times to cover up the rubber smell, seemed to work for me!

My release rusted up from sweat when I was in Kentucky so I hit it with some wd40. Pay attention to the wind and don't worry about it

Hang the straps outside for a day or two otherwise rubber smell won't bother deer.

If the rubber smell really bothers you this is another option.

I have been using Yak Grips for a good number of years now and they work great for me.

Metal to metal noises are a sure way to alarm game animals. Unnatural. Rope mod for sticks. No noise.....
