Strip pit strategies
Gonna start hunting about 2000 acres of reclaimed strip pits, super thick and nasty stuff. Hard to navigate should make for some good public land hunting. Anyone have any tips? I will only be bowhunting

Focus on the leeward sides. They bed in coal country just like hill country. One thing I’ve noticed hunting strip pits is tree selection is tuff. Gunna need a lock on and sticks compared to a climber or hunt em from the ground.

Look up member buckeye and read some of his kills I believe he hunts alot of reclaimed strip land in Ohio
He does a great job detailing his hunts.
