I love seeing those muddy feet on them. For some reason that's like the ultimate confirmation to where you think they are coming from. Great hunt and extremely educational.

The area was well known and pre-scouted, but the "spot" hunted was new.

It's fun when a plan comes together. If only he was a little older.

Keep it up Mario!

Excellent vid as always. I think a lot of hunters underestimate how good early can be. I know I have until you see guys like Dan getting on mature bucks early and you start to realize they are onto something  . I struggled to get on mature bucks early and knew I had to make few adjustment. Ended up going to the Marsh workshop this past spring and tweeked my approach and set ups a little bit. Picking Dans brain for a day really helps take a new look at things. 2nd sit this year I saw a 1.5yo, 3.5yo, and a mature buck and almost got a shot at the mature buck. The mature buck was the largest buck I've ever seen on the hoof and also the earliest big buck i've seen to date while hunting Sept 22. I've seen 4 bucks so far this season and I've had 4 sits so far. I should also add that my 2nd sit of the season was the first time I ever hunted that public area and I scouted it 1 time in the spring. I just went right into one of the 4 kill spots I had pre scouted and it almost paid off.
